What can we say, despite the state of the economy and the doom and gloom everywhere around us, it was amazing to see the amount of collectors who came to the Stoke Show, just going to prove that Wade is still as popular as ever Saturday evening we held a hospitality event which included a fun Wade quiz, the every popular bingo for Wade prizes along with a delicious buffet and a great evening was had by all! Sunday morning the dealers arrived early to set up their stands for the show, making sure that they had a fantastic range of Wade for sale. When the doors opened at 10am the queue was snaking back to the front of the hotel and the room very quickly filled with eager collectors all wanting to add new pieces to their collections. The show specials Felix Polka Dot Bow Tie and the first piece in the Tetley Elephant train were a real hit with visitors, along with our new whimsies that were launched earlier in the year! The Peacock Whimsie in a blue colourway was given to all those entering the show, look out for other colours coming soon! The dealers reported brisk trade throughout the show and collectors were seen loading their cars up with purchases before making their way home! The bran tub..... well what can we say! How popular was the One of a Kind piece, a Pink Elephant, the Star Prize!! By the end of the day we had to empty out the bran tub to find tickets! The star prize went unclaimed, after the winning ticket wasn’t claimed, so this popular One of a Kind will be at the Arundel show.... just goes to show that you need to make sure you check your tickets carefully! A good day was had by all who attended, we look forward to seeing you at the next Wade show on July 5th in Arundel! A few pictures from the day!! Hospitality evening
