Red Rose Tea Fair, Windsor, Connecticut, USA - Review

9th - 11th November 2007

The fun started on Friday 9^th November when a welcome evening was held, which included a silent auction along with a live auction, where lots of fantastic prized were won.

Saturday morning the dealers were putting the finishing touches to their stands in anticipation of the doors opening at 10am.

Once the doors opened, collectors quickly came into the room to take a good look around at the great range of Wade and Tea related products that were available.

The show specials were the Dove whimsies from the club, C&S Collectables had the Aplaca whimsie for sale, and Happy Wade-ing had their first colourway of the Cow Jumped over the moon. The Windsor Chamber of Commerce this year had commissioned a special for the show, which was a special hanging decoration of the Nursery Rhyme figure the 3 bears.

There were lots of activities going on during the day that visitors took part in, including taking a shuttle bus around to various parts of the town to join in the full activities available at the show.

Once the evening came, most made their way down to the local Chinese restaurant to enjoy a lovely meal, with lots of 'Wade' talk!

Sunday morning, the swap and sell tables were set up and collectors were quick to take a good look at them to snap up some missing pieces to their collections.
