Sunday 23rd September 2007 The weekend of Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd December was a weekend of activity. Starting Saturday afternoon, the exhibitors at the Wade Collectors Fair started to set up their stands with Wade items dating back years and years! After a few hours of setting up, it was time for everyone to rest, ready for a busy next day! Well, except those who were coming along to the hospitality evening! The Old Palace Lodge was the place to be Saturday evening, where we had an evening of entertainment for those who attended, including word quiz, raffles, a Wade quiz and, of course, bingo! A fun evening was had by all, with lots of prizes won, and everyone enjoyed the bingo! The room had not been that quiet all night! Sunday morning the exhibitors were back again, bright and early, to finish off setting up their stands, ready for the doors to open at 10am. The Show specials were Top Hat Felix, which sold out in just over an hour, and the Tetley 'Time for Tea', which, unfortunately, we didn't have the full allocation at the show, but orders were taken, and this sold out within half an hour! Dealers reported brisk trade throughout the show, and there were lots of collectors going home with bags full of new pieces to add to their collections! The bran tub was as popular as every, and by the end of the day there were no tickets left! Its only the second time that has happened in the UK! A fun day was had by all, so if you didn't manage to make it to this show, then our next show will be the 1st December in Arundel, or for those of you wishing to travel further afield then the 8th/9th November in Windsor, Connecticut, USA!
