Wade Christmas Bonanza Review

The festive season got off to a great start with the annual Wade Christmas Bonanza held once again at the Wade Collectors Centre in Arundel on the 5th December.

The day started early for those first in the queue, with lots of collectors arriving before the doors opened at 10am. Most taking advantage of the refreshments available, all proceeds of which were donated to charity.

The preparations for the show got off to a shaky start, as we had a problem with the kiln on Thursday which meant it didn't fire up, meaning the Felix show special wasn't ready until Friday afternoon, (bearing in mind we left Stoke early Friday morning to travel for the show!!) Fortunately a courier delivery made sure they arrived in time for the show, (9am Saturday morning, tight but at least they got there!!)

The other show specials, the pearlised Santa and White Reindeer and the Betty Boop were all there ready and waiting for the doors to open. The first 50 lucky collectors each received either a pink or yellow peacock whimsie. The bran tub was once again extremely popular, and all the tickets went again!!! There were lots of lucky winners, including the One of a Kind Winner John Golding and the winner of a gold set of Snow White Kay O-Reilley.

Various draws took place during the day, including a free prize draw to win a Wesley Pig, which was won by Mr Mann.

The Collectors of the Year and the Save and Win draws all took place on the day, with the results as follows:-
