Review of the Wade Collectors Fair

Sunday 21st September was a very busy morning in Dunstable. The Dunstable Leisure Centre was a hive of activity as the Wade Dealers all began to set up their stands for the Wade Collectors Fair.

The doors to the event opened at 10am, by which time we had a queue forming through the leisure centre. The show specials, Starstruck Felix (blue moon) and the gold Tetley characters Tina & Clarence were a real hit with everyone who attended, and both sold through on the day! (We did keep a few of the show specials back for those unable to attend, they can be ordered through the shoping section of the site, very limited number available).

The bran tub was busier than ever, with lots of our collectors all trying to win one of the fantastic prizes that were on offer for just £1! The One of a Kind Betty Boop Halloween was won by Dennis Clarke, and the Gold Moon Felix, one of just 20 was won by Mr Jackson, it was so busy that we had to add more prizes and the copper guiitar Felix was won by Richard Wilson.

A raffle also took place on the day and 2 of our lucky winners were Mr Tidd and Maureen Normal, both who went away with a special 1 of 20 piece!

Everyone attending the event took away our burgundy mouse whimsie to add to their collections.

The next show in the UK is the Christmas Bonanza on Saturday 6th December 2008
